Aditi Murali

From Andorith

Wife of Rokudes and mother of Marliss the Silent. Aditi Murali was an important and controversial figure in pre-abdication Andorith. She was the founder of The Eye of the Silk Coin, a mystery cult in the Church of Andorith.

Early Life

Aditi Murali was the fourth daughter of renowned painter Narinder Murali. Aditi grew up on the island capitol of the Church, Quarina. A skilled artist in her own right, she often accompanied her father to Andorith and other places to create murals commissioned by the Church.

Eye of the Silk Coin

Aditi Murali was a fan of the drugs used by the Church's clergy, and co-founded of the unauthorized Church-derived mystery cult Eye of the Silk Coin as a way to gain increased access to her preferred drugs. Aditi's initial relationship with the future church leader Rokudes began during this time as he was her main supplier of drugs.

Personal Life

Aditi's relationship with Rokudes would prove highly influential on Rokudes' life trajectory. In order to keep the Eye of the Silk Coin supplied and keep the church off their back Rokudes became increasingly involved in the workings of the church. This means to an end increasingly became an end unto itself, as Rokudes got hooked, on power. Rokudes' slide toward authoritarian power wasn't made any better by Aditi having a series of bad trips, which left her increasingly paranoid, especially after her child Marliss the Silent was born. Aditi demanded escalating security from her religious lover to protect her from real and imagined threats.

Aditi really did love her child Marliss the Silent, though because of her drug filled life often found it difficult to show her affection.
