Peace Dreamers
The Peace Dreamers are a semi-secret halfling society in the Green Maw. They believe that the Dreamers of the Maw began as normal trees awakened by the halflings long ago. Some Dreamers felt that they were being subjugated by the halflings so they rebelled, turning against the halflings. This was the start of the generations long Pollen Wars. The Peace Dreamers seek to reconcile the two races and reunite them in friendship. They're playing a long game, seeking to change halfling culture from within by planting seeds of trust and good will towards the Dreamers within halfling culture. They do this principally by placing Peace Dreamers in positions of authority to mitigate reactive response to alleged Dreamer attacks. They will send investigators to the sites to help show that Dreamers are not actually involved.
Much of their origin beliefs, as well as understanding of the Pollen Wars, are founded on misinformation at best and pure myth at worst. But their intentions are genuine and heart-felt and their methods are true and just.
A subsect of the Peace Dreamers, Aggressive Reconciliation is even more secretive and has unknown, though seemingly violent, goals.
