Light Sleeper

A fluorescent mushroom native to the Abyssal layer in The Green Maw. This mushroom has psychoactive spores that when halflings and most other mammals inhale them causes them to become sick and eventually die, becoming food for the mushrooms. As the victims become sicker and sicker they spend more time seeking sleep. In later stages during “sleep” they can be known to get up and walk in their sleep, searching out warmth, particularly ranges consistent with the body heat of mammals.
