Marliss the Silent

Child of Rokudes and Aditi Murali. Parent of of Theodora the Trident. Partner of Gregor the Pious. A deeply religious person, Marliss would eventually become the Anchor of The Lord.

Early Life

Mariss was raised from birth to be married off to a powerful king. She spoke perhaps a total of 12 words in her youth, resulting in the aquisition of the title "The Silent".

To Be Wed to A King

Marliss was introduced to Gregor by Rokudes at a church festival. They began pen-pal relationships. Their long-distance friendship started as an intellectual one, but gradually evolved into romantic intensity. Their second in-person meeting took place two years after their first introduction due to Marliss' work at the Church's headquarters in Quatina. Marliss proposed at this reunion, and Gregor accepted three weeks later.

Retreat into Monasticism

After their marriage, Marliss' completed their ambition to bear a child, and not too many years later her intellectual passions took to her into monasticism. She was to become the anchor of the lord. Gregor was very disappointed by this, as his passion for Marliss never abated.

Visions of the Future

Not much is heard from Marliss until the marriage of Theodora and Drcaet where she broke her monastic vows to attend the wedding. She delivered a prophecy about the downfall of the monarchy. Whether or not you believe in the the power of fate, you cannot deny that all of her predictions came true with startling accuracy.
