The Demimorph first appeared in the game Palanquin as the pet to Periani, the Hunter. In that game it was described as:
Creature, jet black, a cross between a cheetah and a whippet, has hawk wings, six legs, growl-shrieks. Named Tanari (‘tah - nah - ree) a Demimorph, native apex-predator to the Green Maw.
