One of the types of trees that is rooted in the Abyssal Layer and grows all the way up to the top of the Crown. The bark and wood is so tough that only the most extreme events can damage it. The tree is also strange in that different parts of the plant age at different rates. When one part of the tree dies, it will shed the dead flesh and regenerate with new, young wood. Anything made with Steelwood was most likely made from old wood being shed in this process. Due to this strange process, it is impossible to determine the true age of a Steelwood Greattree.
