A porcupine sized beetle similarly covered in pins which glow faintly red or orange at the end. When threatened this beetle will launch the spines. On contact these spines burn what they hit very slightly, though enough to hurt immensely. Halflings gather these pins in groups of 5 to construct a match, as on its own the spines don't cause enough heat to fully start a fire.
