The boundaries of the Andorith region are usually seen as beginning at the equatorial glacier Jotenheim the Everlasting. Jotenheim is an ice sheet, a broad dome that reaches 16,000 ft (~5000 meters) above sea level at its highest point. Its length falls short of the coast. Jotenheim is known to encase the frozen corpse of an all-knowing god, and when in close proximity of this tropic ice field, care must be taken to avoid god-madness.

The Andorith metro area, which lies south of the glacier, has a mean annual temperature of 64°F/18°C. Its climate is typically described as misty, humid, and windy; annual rainfall averages 110 inches. It has three distinct seasons of dry, wet, and misty. The northern and western sides of Andorith tend to receive the most wind while the eastern and southern portions are wetter.

Though the forest surrounding the Andorith metro is usually referred to as the Green Maw, the Green Maw is defined by ecologists as the massive tropical and subtropical broadleaf rainforest further east and southeast. The forest below the ice sheet, stretching to the ocean and directly around the urban area, is tropical montane cloud forest. It is characterized by seasonal low cloud cover and abundant mosses. However, the reach of its stocky, crooked trees is brief, and the Green Maw quickly takes over, diverted only by the limestone karstic plateaus of Spiretop near the coast.
