Abyssal Layer

The Abyssal layer is the ground level of the Green Maw forest biome. The halfling population here is the smallest of any biome, and most residents are salt miners. Brachiation is only possible from vines and roots tunneling from the Twilight layer into the Abyss' vertical boundaries. suspended from beneath the twilight so some brachiation along the top portions of Abyss. Many predators lurk here so not typically used by halflings

The world of the Abyss is nocturnal. When light appears, its source is usually bioluminescent. The ground is uneven and thick with fungi, decomposing collapsed trees, caves of gnarled roots, and towering tree trunks of all diameters.
