The boundaries of the Andorith region are usually seen as beginning at the equatorial glacier Jotenheim the Everlasting. Jotenheim is an ice sheet, a broad dome that reaches 16,000 above sea level at its highest point. Jotenheim is known to encase the frozen corpse of an all-knowing god, and when in close proximity of this tropic ice field, care must be taken to avoid god-madness.

The Andorith metro area, which lies south of the glacier, is understandably colder than typically expected of a tropical region. Though the forest directly surrounding it is usually referred to as the Green Maw, the Green Maw is defined by ecologists as the massive tropical and subtropical broadleaf rainforest further south. The forest below the ice sheet, stretching to the ocean and directly around the urban area, is cloud forest. This forest is characterized by seasonal low cloud cover and abundant mosses. Its reach south is short, however, and flows uninterrupted into the broadleaf Green Maw.
