One of many currencies of Andorith, the bezant is primarily used in The Green Maw by communities of forest halflings. Each Halfing Bezant represents a quantity of Threadwing Beetle carapaces held by the coin bearer. In some villages, the valuable carapaces are held in a central stronghouse which acts of a bank of sorts.
The Halfing Bezant is formed out of processed Threadwing Beetle threads, and embossed with the symbol of the faction that created it.
