There are 4 true types of souls in the Andorith universe, and a typical denizen of the plane that contains Andorith has all 4. Denizens of Andorith may believe in other types of souls, but they only exist as cultural concepts, and are not fundamentally true to the universe.
True Souls
Knowledge soul
The Knowledge Soul is composed of all your knowledge from being alive. This soul is the one that holds all the other soul bits together. This soul arises from your experiences being alive and is destroyed when you die. The knowledge soul is susceptible to damage from the physical body.
Life Soul
The Life Soul is composed of your emotions, personal traits, desires, etc. This goes on to the afterlife after you die. Even inanimate objects have this soul.
Familial Soul
The Familial Soul is composed of your family traits, ancestral trauma, and ancestral karma.
When you die this goes to the Braid of family souls from your family. The individual familial soul is actually a facet of the group shared familial soul. You get traits based on family proximity. Further relations are less appearing in individuals.
The familial soul is the metaphysical seed for all life in the plane. It binds people to this plane.
A new line can start as a result of a particularly notable person (cosmic weight).
Ley Soul
The Ley Soul is the connection to magic realm, strength relates to magical ability, lack is an absence of magical impact or influence. When you die this goes back to the vast ocean of ley energy.
Stronger ley souls occur when planes crash and grind against each other and the extraplanar weather.

The Animal Soul is not a true phenomena in the Andorith Universe, though many denizens of the Andorith plane believe in its existence.
