Theodora the Trident

Daughter of Gregor the Pious and Marliss the Silent. Mother of King Alouitious IV. Married to Drcaet of the Chaotic Seas. The last queen of Andorith.

Early Life

Theodora was a spoiled palace child. Her parents got her the best people to teach but some of that effort was probably wasted.

Theodora life change when she met her future husband, Drcaet. It was almost love at first sight, and might have been a fleeting love doomed to fail but for several factors:

• Drcaet, being a rogue and pirate was uniquely suited to sneaking around to see his love.
• Theodora was given the freedom and lack of scrutiny to see her love.
• Drcaet's mother Castillola Lonedrake helped keep their secret.

Much to her parents dismay, Theodora ran away with Drcaet with the help of Castillola.

The Path to Being a Queen

Theodora lived on the sea in The Rampant Griffin for many years having many adventures.

One day, The Voice of Bastaphol, found their ship and convinced Theodora to return to Andorith to reclaim her birthright.

They returned to Andorith with much fanfare and were officially married in the Palace. However, it was not as happy as it could have been, but not for a reason any suspected. Marliss, Theodora's mother returned to deliver a prophecy: "your will produce a child that will end the monarchy".

Theodora, the Queen

Theodora's rule of Andorith was flashy but offered little societal relief or substantial change. Her father's wars continued, church slavery continued, etc.

Honoring a promise to Drcaet, she abdicated the throne to their oldest child, Alouitious, when he turned 18. When Al disbanded the monarchy four years into his reign, Theodora blamed Drcaet, breaking their relationship.

They separated for several years, but reunited after a chance encounter and spent their remaining decades together on the seas.
