	A sightless reptile, the Blind Abyss Gecko is native to the Abyssal ~~Layer~~ of The Maw. Instead of evolving eyes, it evolved a complex nerve cluster specially suited to processing vibration of the surfaces around it. Researchers theorize that it "sees" similar to the way echolocation works with bats, except with much more sensitivity due to the lack of a "ping" sound generated by the creature. Unlike other sightless creatures that evolve in total darkness, the Blind Abyss Gecko evolved a jet black skin that is extremely effective at absorbing light. That, along with it's small size (about the size of a halfling foot) and ability to alternatively stay very still and move very quickly, makes it one of the hardest creatures to find, by predator or otherwise.

As far as diet, the Blind Abyss Gecko is generally an omnivore, though mostly will feed on small plants and grubs. It's not an aggressive creature.
