Andorith's appearance in the Voidsea is relatively recent. Andorith has a longer history of planar travel, and a bustling sea port. The space port was only established after King Al abdicated the throne.

Timeline
Stars Are Places
During this time Andorithians realized that stars are places it was possible to go to, and that they very much wanted to go to them. This period is marked by early attempts at spaceflight. These attempts were costly, deadly, and generally poorly thought of in the modern day. The most notable attempt from this time was Jotenheim's Catapault, a magic powered launcher that sent the first Andorithian, a ghoul named Haketh, into space.
First Contacts
During this period Andorith took to space and encountered new sentient beings, ideas, and physics concepts. Andorithians generally look back fondly on this period of time despite the hardships, including both Alien Flu, and the controversial destruction of a ship that seemed bound to break quarantine. Despite these troubles, Andorith approached and made contact with the Blissovians and Thampur within a year of each other, and during this period also met with the Guri and Anterik.
Golden Age of (Space) Piracy
Generally considered a dark period in Andorith's history in Space, warring factions gave money and guns to privateers to fight proxy battles on their behalf. These proxy conflicts accelerated in the aftermath of the The Scattershot War, a multipolar war called that officially ended after the involved parties had endured enough attrition to not want to continue the war, but not enough that they didn't still want someone to go win it for them. These ongoing conflicts led to the rise of the Coral Rings, a short lived pirate government founded devotees of Queen Perfection with Eyes of Fire. Coral Rings was overthrown by a rare joint operation by enemy factions, paving the way for the next era.
The Second House of Custom's Interplanetary Reconciliation
Following the, mostly, successful suppression of piracy in the resource rich Folenger's Belt, the House of Customs Authority made a second attempt to codify space mining and trade. This strong approach is looked upon negatively, despite the establishment of the first routine commercial spaceflight routes, beginning with the trip from Andorith to the moon of Thanlemus to allow devotants of Queen Perfection with Eyes of Fire to travel to the infamous but holy Jenny City.
Mage Cult "Sisters of Jenny" begin a purge of Ley Engines
This period is generally looked upon in a positive light, despite the defining feature of conflict between the Sisters of Jenny and the newly developed Ley Engines. The Sisters of Jenny rightly feared that the new Ley Engines, while obviating the need for a talented Ley Sniffer to detect fluctuations in ley lines to power their craft, would damage and destroy ley lines they used due to their pulling and shredding effects on the ley lines. During this period the Akashics also made formal contact with other species via a meeting with members of the Sisters of Jenny on board the derelict and mysteriously reappeared Drapery of Autumn.
Andorith Finds Its Galactic Niche
Andorith is used to being the center of the multiverse, but curiously enough in their own galaxy this isn't necessarily true. Rather, Andorith has had to find it's niche, rather than sit at the center. Despite this break from the norm, this is considered a positive time, perhaps due to the engine standardization which leads to faster build times for ships across the galaxy network. The big three engines are established during these times, Ley Sail and the modified Ley Engines which do not damage ley lines, both frequently supplemented Steam for when no ley lines are handy, though Steam ships sometimes run with no other engine aboard.
The Present Day
The events of Starforged Campaign happen during this time.
The most notable attempt from this time was Jotenheim's Catapault, a magic powered launcher that sent the first Andorithian, a ghoul:ghouls named Haketh, into space.
They cultivate fruits in the mid-level of the forest, mushrooms in the dark underlayer, and hunt the giant bugs native to the area. Their religions are generally centered around the Dreamers of the Maw one way or another.

Community Size/ Distribution
The Maw has similarities to pre-Columbian South America, pre-Ghengis steppes: the landscape is wild and dangerous. Communities are as likely to be friends as they are to raid each other.
There’s need to put the fear of death in halfling children in the Maw. How does that affect culture?

Travel and Trade
There's room for a tinkerer who travels from village to village and may or may not sell shady or at least questionable produce.
There is trade and bandits and communes of elves!
Do not undertake travel lightly, and it is undertaken still.

Tools and Weapons
A unique weapon of the Maw is the Mantis Blade.

Iconography
Iconography is a critical tool for communication and expression in forest halfling society. Abundant examples are integrated into handmade objects, carved or painted into natural formations, and integrated into halflings own bodies, especially on the ears. Being able to identify, interpret, and draw symbols is a vital component of forest halfling education. Symbols may arise from historical epics, the natural world, folklore, kennings, ritual gestures, word play such as homonyms, and accumulated tradition.

An iconic example would be an image of the sun, three quarters above ground, rising behind (and seemingly embraced by) the silhouette of a tree adorned in only half its leaves. The color of the sun, tree, and ground are vital to divining meaning, as is species of tree, number of leaves, and the placement of the sun to the left side or to the right side of the tree.

Language
It is taboo to refer to a halfling doing something out of their gender proscribed time. If you want to refer to a halfling doing something out of their gender defined time, you must leave them unnamed while connecting them to a different halfling of the appropriate gender associated time. For example, if you want to talk about a Chaosgrown named Charleynee doing something in the past you would have to reference their Dragongrown friend Zenithdra, saying, "The friend of Zenithdra who likes to eat grubs did that yesterday."<br>

Possession is expressed using the construction "_____of _____" as with the Spanish "de" or Japanese "no." There is a single plural pronoun for a group of halflings, they/them. the pronoun thee/theeir is used when the gender of the subject is unknown (be it because they are a child and their gender has not been assigned yet, because they are an outsider who's gender doesn't map easily onto halfling gender conceptions, or some other reason).

Halfling pronouns are incorporated as a syllable of their names, frequently suffixes at the end of their name.

More information on the Halfling language can be found here.

Sex, Family, and Romance
In romantic matters, Halflings generally form groups of different gendered halflings called groves. Groves are the social ideal for raising children. Same gendered groups also occur, but aren't as common. There isn't much cultural taboo around same and different gendered groups or having "duplicates" of a gender in a grove.

In sexual matters, it is normal for halflings to have sex with members of their grove only. Having sex outside your grove is a sacred act and must not be undertaken frivolously. It is highly ritualized, and generally meant to foster procreation in cases where members of a grove are not able to produce a child on their own. Chaosborn are traditionally seen as the most sexually desirable partners.

The Four Genders
Halflings have four genders, primarily determined by personality traits. Changing one's gender is celebrated in halfling society. The prestige of mental growth and maturity needed to change personality traits, and therefore gender, is highly prized.

https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1X5Jlx_a-0GeqW7eMqNVEmC0XTc06QpBskz0OFuiJ3fo/edit

Dense forest that seems to change more than usual over time. Mapping efforts have met with change.

The Great Pollen Wars continue to this day. The wars are caused by trees, now sentient, to carry out grudges from when they were mere plants. The tomb meteor caused an arcane storm, which inspired the forest halflings to create rituals to make the trees sentient. These sentient trees are now known as Dreamers of the Maw.

The trees of the Maw are extremely tall, and there are various sub layers within it. In the forest there are also giant bugs, including 10 foot long centipedes, and dragonflies with 6 foot wingspans.

The forest is intentionally cultivated by the forest halflings, who foster mushrooms, fruits, and insect hives, and live in settlements around these food rich areas.

+
Forest halfling ethnic groups were historically defined by their alliances in the war. Great Mangrove Project, United Pollen Oak Tide, Successionist Acorn League, Bristlecone Alliance, etc. Forest Halflings evolved large eyes to see in the murky forest. Their hands and feet are equally dexterous.

Biomes
The Abyssal Layer
At the very base of the forest biome, these sunless depths are the final frontier for halflings.

From lack of light, the abyss can at first appear barren. Stark pillars of tree trunks ascending anywhere from a few stories to hundreds of meters into the gloom. Canyons, valleys, and caves of gnarled roots.

In the darkness, a bioluminescent symphony of mushrooms blanket the fallen corpse of a collapsed tree. In the rare dot of sunlight, a riot of competing plants seek to monopolize it.

Twilight Layer
In some areas the trees are so thick that rivers flow through the middle layers among the branches some 40 feet above the ground.

Canopy
Most inhabited zone, filled with sunlight. Tree houses.

The Crown
Very high up yo! Direct light, birds.

The Emergent Zone
Formed by cloudscraper tree, trees that rise above the ambient level of the jungle crown. These trees are uncommon but not rare. From the top of one you can likely see several others. Individual cloudscrapers often form "island" ecosystems with unique species in that area.

Flora
Trees
Different trees in the maw utilize different germination methods. Some drop their seed to the abyss layer, and when a tree collapses there is a murderous plant competition for the one spot in the light. For this reason some plants germinate based on loud noises and seismic activity. Some species shoot their seed in the twilight layer, with their initial root system in the plant layer, and send suckers downward to become roots in the motherlode of actual soil nutrients. Others also establish in the twilight layer growing heavier and heavier until they crash through to the lower layer. Those trees tend to enjoy dappled sunlight, and dropping lower prolongs their time in their preferred light zone while also getting them access to soil nutrients. There are also parasite trees that take over an existing tree and assassin plants that kill an existing tree.
The Peace Dreamers are a semi-secret halfling society in the Green Maw. They believe that the Dreamers of the Maw began as normal trees awakened by the halflings long ago. Some Dreamers felt that they were being subjugated by the halflings so they rebelled, turning against the halflings. This was the start of the generations long Pollen Wars. The Peace Dreamers seek to reconcile the two races and reunite them in friendship. They're playing a long game, seeking to change halfling culture from within by planting seeds of trust and good will towards the Dreamers within halfling culture. They do this principally by placing Peace Dreamers in positions of authority to mitigate reactive response to alleged Dreamer attacks. They will send investigators to the sites to help show that Dreamers are not actually involved.
Much of their origin beliefs, as well as understanding of the Pollen Wars, are founded on misinformation at best and pure myth at worst. But their intentions are genuine and heart-felt and their methods are true and just.

Fly lace are carnivorous white mushrooms native to the Green Maw. Their name is derived from their above-ground shape's resemblance to broderie anglaise, a lace distinguished by patterns of round or oval eyelets. At dawn and dusk, the mushrooms release a rotting stench that attracts flies. Flies climb through the eyelets, become caught by the mushrooms’ digestive juices, and are devoured.

Fly lace are traditionally planted in gardens dedicated to the Southern Kingdom's great river goddess, as they are seen as beautiful symbols of life and death.
The Death Lantern is a symbiote comprised of a transparent slug and a bioluminescent slime mold. They reside in caves and dark fissures throughout the Abyssal Layer. They range in size from that of a halflings thumb to the length of a forearm. They cling to the walls, ceiling, and floors emitting a pale, cadaverous green light. The slime mold pulls out organic material from the environment and breaks it down for use by the slug. The slug, in turn, provides the slime mold greater mobility and range than it would otherwise. The digestive process generates a smell strongly reminiscent of a rotting corpse. While that smell would be expected to attract many species of flies and maggots, in fact it works as a powerful repellent and is sometimes harvested for that purpose but only in extreme situations as the cure is generally considered to be worse than what it is repelling.

The Tube Mold is a primordial, gargantuan, single fungus that spans the entire Maw. During the earliest formation of the Maw, the Tube Mold existed as widely distributed, and distinct, colonies, similar to traditional mushrooms. Over time the colonies spread their feeding tubers to connect with other colonies forming a large, interconnected network. Eventually all colonies in the Maw were connected and formed a central hub with countless feeders and distribution nodes. The feeders consist of hollow and extremely elastic tubes with a variety of protuberances resembling carnivorous plants such as the sundew, pitcher plant, and fly-trap. These range from very tiny to large enough to trap, and engulf, several halflings at once. Once thus captured, the prey is moved into and through the feeder tubes where they are digested by very strong acids and channeled to the central hub. The hub of the Tube Mold has never been discovered and there is no known lore as to its location or nature.

Different trees in the maw utilize different germination methods.

Terrible luring monsters live in the sunless depths. Largely uninhabited except for expeditions.

Halflings have different theories about how they come about, be it special minerals in the soil or a confluence of leylines or something else. Individual cloudscrapers often form "island" ecosystems with unique species in that area.
